So I was lucky to be able to go home in October and see my family. I also got to meet my new niece who is so beautiful. It was great to go home and just be with my family which I don't get to do to often because we don't live close by but I am grateful for what time I do have. I am also grateful for the family I do have close by and those friends and other people in my life that make an entirely new family. Her our a few pics of my new niece.

Cheese Whiz Challenge

So I had a great opportunity to go see my family in California before my brother is deployed and we had a great time. We did alot of shopping, hanging out, sight seeing, eating, and playing games. My sister in law came up with a game to play which we played don't know why but it was fun. We called it the cheese whiz challenge. Basically we eat things with cheese whiz on it. You may think oh easy but no...... We ate things like m&ms, sour worms, oreo's, nutter butters, ice, and swedish fish. Lets just say it was a fun night. So I am thankful for the opportunity to go down for the weekend. Thank you dad for getting me a flight.

What a week!

This week I learned that my brother is being deployed to Afghanistan for six months starting in October. Although I know many families have experienced this kind of thing it is always different when it is a member of your own family. So I want to thank all those people in military that protect us. That do it because they want to and do so humbly. I just wanted to say I love you Cory and am proud of who you are.

Grandparents

So I am not very good at updating this but I will try to do better! This week I am so thankful for grandparents. They are such an important part of my life. They give comfort, insight, wisdom, love, friendship, they spoil us and tell fun stories of our parents and themselves. My grandpa is always the person I go to for my gospel questions. He is always studying something new about the gospel. My grandma is the one I go to for recipies and family gossip. They are a great example to me and I love them very much. As I watch them get older it reminds me to take any oppurtunity I have to see them or call them just to tell them I love them. I am thankful that they are such a big part of my life.

Family

Today I am Grateful for family. I had the opportuniy to come home to California for two weeks to spend time with my family. I love just hanging out and the freedom to just be myself. I got together with my parents, brothers, sisters, and their spouses and just hung out, played games, and cooked dinner together were a few things we did. I am very grateful for the family I have and the times we can get together.
